LITERATURE AND LANGUAGES DEPARTMENT
The department has two sections, the Literature section and the English language section. It has six (6) faculty members. Offered in this department is English language and literature in English only. The department conducts debates that are essential in training the pupils the skills in public speaking and also encourage reading and leisure writing.
NATURAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
The Natural Science department Consists of four sections, the biology, chemistry, integrated science and physics sections. It has seven (7) faculty members, two of whom are females.
At junior secondary school integrated science is offered while Biology, Chemistry and physics is offered at senior secondary school level.
PRACTICAL SUBJECTS DEPARTMENT
The only practical subjects in the school are Home Economics, Home Management and Food and Nutrition.
The department is headed by Susan Zyambo Hamudebwe (Mrs) who is supported by three female teachers.
GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING SECTION
The section is headed by Cynthia Nyoni Matimba (Mrs) who is assisted by two other female teachers in offering guidance and counselling. The section also looks after pupils’ health and welfare.
EXPRESSIVE ARTS DEPARTMENT
The Expressive Arts Department involves Physical Educationand Sports, Music and fine Arts a subject offered currently only at junior secondary school level.
It comprises two teachers, a male and a female. Glory Kamanga (Mr) is heading the department in an acting capacity.
MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT
The mathematics has six (6) faculty members, with only one female teacher and only offers the main Mathematics Syllabus for both junior and senior secondary school.
Mathematics department in conjunction with the natural sciences department has started offering intensive remedial lessons in the subjects to assist and motivate learners in to liking the subjects.
Additional mathematics is also offered under the mathematics department.
BUSINESS STUDIES DEPARTMENT
The Business has four (4) faculty members, evenly distributed as two males and two females.
The department offers Business Studies to all junior secondary school pupils and Principles of Accounts and Commerce at the senior level.
SOCIAL SCIENCES DEPARTMENT
The Social Sciences department is the largest department in the school and comprises of five (5) sections, namely, History, Goegraphy, Civic Education, Religious Education and Social Studies sections.
The department offers Religious Education and social studies at junior secondary school level which is a combination of Geography, History and Civic Education. At the senior school level, Civic Education, Geography History and Religious Education are offered.
